22 Dec Early Christmas treat for courageous youngster
Selfless Hoops fan, Shanice Broadley, lived her dream as she was chosen to receive a VIP mascot experience and lead out her Heroes against Dundee at Celtic Park, thanks to Celtic FC’s Official Club Partner, Eze Group.
The seven year old youngster walked out onto the pitch after Auntie Clare Broadley nominated her for an Eze Wish in recognition of the bravery and generosity she showed in October when she made the brave decision to cut her hair and donate it to The Little Princess Trust, as well raise £250 along the way.
Clare said: Shanice has had a fabulous day. She is a huge Celtic fan and was absolutely delighted to walk out the tunnel with the club captain. It was a dream come true for her.
“She’s made up that she received the full Celtic kit and all the players’ autographs – she can’t wait to show her friends! We would like to thank Eze Group for making this happen.
As Celtic official mascot, Shanice also met the players before the game, received a complimentary Celtic kit, and a DVD of her experience so she can look back on her memorable day.
Eze Group CEO Dominic O’Reilly said: “What Shanice has done is absolutely remarkable. For a girl of her age to do what she did and raise £250 made it impossible for us to turn down Clare’s nomination.”
The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs free of charge to boys and girls across the UK and Ireland that have sadly lost their own hair due to cancer treatment and other illnesses.
The Final score at Celtic Park finished Celtic 2 – Dundee 1.
Eze Group’s recently launched Eze Wishes initiative is designed to recognise and reward fans who have overcome adversity, carried out selfless community work or demonstrated outstanding commitment to supporting Celtic.
